Charlie Browns Buses – School Transport (BCP Council)
Charlie Browns Buses is committed to providing safe, reliable, and professional school transport services in line with BCP Council requirements. The health, safety, and welfare of children, employees, and the public is our highest priority.

Our Commitment
We will:
• Operate minibuses that are fully roadworthy, maintained, and inspected in accordance with legal, council requirements and our Operator’s licence
• Ensure all drivers are appropriately licensed, trained, DBS checked, and medically fit
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and record defects
• Ensure children are transported safely, with seatbelts worn
• Follow agreed routes, timetables, and collection/drop-off procedures
• Assess and control risks related to school transport activities
• Maintain clear safeguarding procedures and respond promptly to concerns

Driver Responsibilities
All drivers must:
• Drive safely, legally, and courteously at all times
• Follow company procedures and BCP Council transport standards
• Complete vehicle checks before each shift
• Supervise children responsibly during boarding and alighting
• Report accidents, incidents, safeguarding concerns, or defects immediately

Monitoring and Review
This policy is communicated to all staff and reviewed regularly to ensure ongoing compliance with BCP Council and legal requirements.
