Practical Summary for Minibus Operators :

Check the manufacture date code on each tyre, especially those on the front (steered) axle. If it's older than 10 years, the tyre must not be used

Ensure tyres on single-wheel positions (front and certain rear positions) comply with the 10-year rule.

Monitor tread depth carefully: for a minibus/PSV scenario, use the 1 mm rule (not the 1.6 mm ruleused for cars) and ensure the tread wear across at least three-quarters of the width.

Maintain good record-keeping of tyre age, tyre condition, and ensure legibility of date codes,

Even for tyres on positions not covered by the age limit, consider replacement/review before they become structurally compromised -age alone may not make them unlawful but increases risk.
